AGFUND calls for nomination for its 2017 International Prize
One Million Dollar AGFUND Prize for “quality education” projects Arab Gulf Programme for Development (AGFUND) has announced the fourth SDG “Ensure inclusive and quality education and promote lifelong learning for all” as subject for the 2017 AGFUND International Prize for Pioneering Human Development Projects, which amounts to US$1,000,000. AGFUND invited the United Nations, international and regional organizations, ministries and public institutions, national NGOs and individuals worldwide to submit nominations as deemed eligible for the Prize. It is worth mentioning that HRH Prince Talal bin Abdul Aziz, President of AGFUND, has decided to double the amount of the Prize to be US$ 1,000,000 and to align its subjects with Sustainable Development goals 2030 as adopted by the international community, a decision that was approved by the Prize Committee in its 18th Meeting which was held in Geneva last April. The projects that best contribute to the achievement of one or more of the targets of the fourth Sustainable Development Goal “Ensure inclusive and quality education and promote lifelong learning for all” shall be eligible for nomination for AGFUND Prize 2017. The deadline for receipt of nomination is 30 September 2017.
