AGFUND Prize Committee meets in Riyadh to announce the winning projects in the field of “quality education”

The Arab Gulf Programme for Development (AGFUND) is to announce the winners of its International Prize in the field of Quality of Education. The AGFUND International Prize Committee will hold its 19th Meeting at AGFUND Premises in Riyadh on Wednesday 28 February 2018, under the patronage of HRH Prince Talal bin Abdul Aziz, President of AGFUND. The Committee will review the nominated projects in the field of “quality education”, and announce the winning projects in the four categories of the Prize, which worth US $ 1 million. The Committee will also select the subject of the 2018 AGFUND Prize in line with the of Sustainable Development Goals 2030. The Prize Committee is chaired by Prince Talal bin Abdul Aziz and composed of a number of renowned international personalities representing the world regions, namely Europe, North and South Americas, the Arab Region, Asia and Africa;  Her Majesty Queen Sofía of Spain, H.E. Mrs. Mercedes Menafra, Former First Lady of Uruguay, President of Honor of the, HECHO ACA – All for Uruguay, H.E. Dr. Ahmed Mohammed Ali, Former President of the Islamic Development Bank Group, H.E. Professor Muhammad Yunus, Noble Peace Prize Laureate, Founder of Grameen Bank and Chairman of Yunus Social Business Center, and H.E. Dr. Y. S. Abdulai, Former Director General of the OPEC Fund for International Development (OFID).
