Media and Communications Director

Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Media, Communications, Political Science, or related fields
- Postgraduate qualifications are preferred.
- Relevant experience in media, communications, or development sector (preferred at managerial level)
- Minimum Experience 15 years for Bachelor degrees, or 8 years’ experience for Master degree.
Experience:
Media & Communications:
- Develop and implement the annual media strategy aligned with organizational objectives
- Gather and coordinate information from internal departments to highlight programs, initiatives, and achievements
- Produce and publish media content, including newsletters, publications, and promotional materials
- Monitor media coverage and prepare appropriate responses when needed
- Lead the media documentation of AGFUND’s milestones and achievements
- Manage public relations activities and represent AGFUND across events and external engagements
- Support in drafting speeches, press releases, and official statements
- Prepare the annual report showcasing AGFUND’s projects and impact
🏆 Award Management:
- Develop and execute the annual plan for Prize Awards ceremony.
- Promote award themes and attract high-quality submissions
- Manage outreach, nominations, and initial screening of applications
- Coordinate with judging panels and oversee evaluation processes
- Organize award committee meetings and document decisions
- Lead the preparation and execution of the award ceremony
- Coordinate with internal teams to transition winning projects into implementation opportunities
Skills:
- Strong knowledge of media relations and communication strategies
- Established network within media and communication sectors
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills
- Proven ability to plan and execute communication campaigns
- Proficiency in computer applications and digital tools
- Fluency in Arabic and English (additional languages are a plus)
